Sketching out Design COncepts

At the beginning of the costuming process, I use my background in illustration to help visualize an ensemble. Whether it’s a quick sketch or a fully-realized color illustration, this is the step where I plan fit, detail, and any artistic interpretations that I plan to make on the costume. This stage of the process relies heavily on rigorous research into the historical and cultural settings surrounding the subject of the costume.

Bringing Costume Designs to Life

Depending on the project, I sew and build costumes from the ground up or use existing costume elements, thrifting, and tailoring modifications to bring a look together.

From historical garments to fantasy cosplay, I create a variety of characters.

On top of my costuming work, I have worked professionally as a custom stylist for contemporary looks.
